I know that most of you probably aren't going to like the very small lens flare (oooh a dirty word) that I have above the sun But I really think I like it there
Also I predict that the clouds are not going to be satisfactory to some. They certainly don't look like typical dramatic Terragen clouds... but that's the point. I wanted them different and I am very happy with how they turned out.
I have about 14 layers of just grass in this one and I forget how many on the rest of it.
damn cool man, i really like this, the reason i do is because its not the usual kind of render, those clouds are awesome, the textures are sweet, everything is just excellent man, finally a :fav: render that isnt by stotty!
The land is kinda sharp but i can forgive that as the pleatu is AWESOME it looks like the edge of the world or something. Horizon colours are a litle wierd but if thats what you wre aiming for then good for you. Great render.
Told you that plateau would grab some people's eye If you all knew how he did this you would do a Jed is a friggin genius for coming up with ideas like that, heehee
First off let me get the out of the way, told you I was gonan do it The plateau is (again) my fave part of this, and that sheer dropoff is amazingly done. I really like the sense of depth it adds to it. For some reason I still think that middle ridge reminds me of your Earth Spine pic.....don't know why. The insane grass depth totally draws your eye to that point and the clouds sweep it through the rest of the scene. Dont touch that sky or Ill rip out your pancreas and beat you soundly about the head with it. All in good fun of course.
The lense flare at top should be a keeper definitely, it is very subtle and needed and if somebody picks at it they are way too stuck within a set method of rendering and needs to break out every now and then. I may start doing some REALLY freaky crap just to honk em off heehee. The only thing I would even remotely change is adding another dozen or so layers to that rock face there to get that depth like you had on your Chinese rock pic, I really liked it how you could see inside the cracks on that one. Very very good.
BTW - I wasn't at church tonight cause Cakey's mom and dad got home from Michigan at like 5:30 and we wanted to take the dresser they brought back home with us tonight so we had to help them unload their van, move things in ythe house around, then reload some things up. We didnt get done till after 10 and didn't get home till 2:15. I gotta get up around 6 so it suc to be me hahaha. Bet Julie's gonna have a fit cause we're not gonna be there Sunday Morning either We're gonna be helping with the Apple Festival and we help tear down and that is always like until about 3 or 4AM and there is NO WAY I am getting up after 3 hours of sleep to go to church, Id fall asleep heehee. Well, enough of that, need sleep.

very magnificent work my friend... i like the way the sky stretches over the horizon... adds a good deal of depth and perspective... and yeah... dis is not the usual terragen render, hell... if you haven't told that this is a terragen render... nobody would guess it was...
